Obituary: Harold Wilson G8CMT G0GDQ

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Harold Wilson G8CMT G0GDQ.
A keen radio enthusiast, Harold ran a radio shop at Carlton Hill, Nottingham
for many years prior to his retirement.
He became quite a popular and friendly trader at many rallies, in particular our own
Junction 28 QRP Rally last year.

Harold passed away peacefully at the City Hospital on Wednesday 25th January 2012.
He will be sadly missed by wife Pauline, family and friends.
Reception into the Good Shepherd Church, Woodthorpe will take place on
Tuesday 7th February at 7.00pm
This will be followed by Requiem Mass on Wednesday 8th February at 10.30am

Amateur Radio Exam Successes

The Chairman and Committee are proud to announce that candidates
who took the Exam for the Intermediate Licence,
all 7 passed successfully!

Peter Munson passed his Advanced exam for the Full Licence,
The committee and members congratulate him on his achievement.

Matthew Bunting, SNADARC's youngest member (12 years old)
has passed his Exam for the Intermediate Licence.
The Chairman, Committee and Members all
congratulate Matthew on his superb achievement!

RSGB Examination Fees Increase

As from January 2011, there will be an increase in all
RSGB Examination Course Fees as follows:-

Foundation Course = £27.50
Intermediate Course = £32.50
Advanced Course = £37.50

GB3DY Repeater Abuse

Following many complaints of abusive behaviour and obscene language
on the GB32DY repeater, we respectfully remind all licensed amateurs
it is a breach of your licence conditions to engage in communications with an unlicensed station, and doing so only inflames the situation.
This matter is currently under active investigation by Ofcom.
